Training
When someone is employed by the company they have to go through a very intense training programe, induction, company policies and procedures, resusitation, first aid and manual handling, patient handling, equipment movement and movements in and out of vehicles.
During this induction period every new member of staff will act as a member of a crew alongside an experienced trainer from within the company. After a probation period of three months all staff are sent out in two's as full crews. Extra training is available at this time if it is required.
All our staff hold a first aid certificate as well as manual handling and patient care. Crews can extend their training and undergo the Technician course providing them with extra skills and experiences; this course is an equivalent to the NHS service Technician Level.
Staff training is ongoing, annual reviews of basic life support and resuscitation are undergone, first aid qualifications are re-taken every three years and the technician course, if taken, lasts for two years.
