Modern and well equipped vehicles are the foundation of any effective ambulance service and we maintain a rigorous maintenance and renewals program. Our recently upgraded onboard job delegation and tracking system intergrates smoothly with an extensively overhauled control room operation.
All WPAS crews are now equipped with 'best route' SatNav, as well as on-screen descriptions of jobs and patients. Control room staff are shown in real-time when a vehicle reaches each stage of a job, ensuring excellent turnaround times and a far greater predictability of service.
WPAS runs a substantial fleet of ambulances that includes everything from smaller vehicles for long distance and comfort through to specialist ambulances carrying oxygen and incubators. We can offer a 4x4 ambulance and a dedicated bariatric ambulance with a stair climber, 50-stone rated wheelchair and a space for a hospital bed.
